The stakes

Freebets.co.uk needed a marketing agency to act as their team on the ground in London and connect them with UK-based football fans who were looking for great content and exclusive betting offers. As the off-season approached, we were tasked with creating a campaign to keep the freebets.co.uk brand in people’s consciousness throughout the

summer. To do this we enlisted the help of internet sensation, Gordon Hill, a.k.a. The Wealdstone Raider and spent a day at Wealdstone football club filming ‘The Raider’ as a key part of the campaign. We also designed and built a microsite to act as a hub for the campaign, produced the main promo film and a follow up blooper reel.

We love you guys!

The return

Freebets had initially asked us to see if we could get 1 million views for the video over the course of the summer, so we were absolutely delighted to share with them that it pulled in over that in the first 24 hours!  It was picked up by several of the sports content sites including SportBible which helped things further still.  The outtakes video managed to garner 600,000+ views on its own too and when the football season started again, we produced another series of videos with Gordon passing on his top tips for the weekends’ key matches. Ultimately the campaign increased website traffic by 11%, when compared to the same period the previous year, and they collected over 5,000 new email addresses over a three-month period.
